Itsasmuseum tells the maritime history of Bilbao and Bizkaia on the site of the former Euskalduna shipyard. Indoors, its collection follows the people, vessels and trades connected with the estuary and sea. Outside, preserved dry docks hold boats from the collection.
The red Carola crane is another surviving part of the shipbuilding site. Combine the indoor museum with a look at the docks, then check the current programme for guided visits or temporary exhibitions. The official visitor page provides booking information and the entrance on Ramón de la Sota quay.
