Etxebarria occupies the site of a former steelworks on the hillside above the Old Town. A tall brick chimney remains among the lawns and paths, giving the park a distinctive marker and a visible connection to Bilbao’s industrial past.
Make this an uphill extension to an Old Town walk. The open slopes offer views over the city centre, including the area around the Arriaga Theatre. Follow the paths towards the chimney, then pause to look back across the valley before descending.
