Jardines de Albia

Park · Abando

A fountain, shaded benches and San Vicente church among Abando’s city streets.

The Jardines de Albia offer a green pause in Abando, with paths, a fountain and benches beneath the trees. San Vicente church stands beside the gardens, a reminder of the area before Bilbao’s nineteenth-century expansion. Look for the statue of writer Antonio Trueba nearby.

Approach from Gran Vía along Berastegui, or include the gardens on a walk through the Ensanche’s architecture. Café Iruña faces the square, making this a useful place to combine a garden stop with a look at another Bilbao landmark.
