A neighbourhood square with a bandstand and a place in the history of old Abando.
La Casilla takes its name from a small tollhouse that once stood here, close to the railway crossings. The square was also the setting for the town hall of the former municipality of Abando.
Today its bandstand still hosts municipal dances. Make this a short neighbourhood stop, and check the city’s programme if you want to catch music rather than simply pass through.
