Palacio de Arana
Attraction · Casco Viejo
A carved Renaissance entrance on Bilbao’s oldest surviving palace, best seen on a short Old Town walk.
Palacio de Arana dates from around 1590 and is described by Bilbao’s tourism office as the city’s oldest surviving palace. Its rounded entrance arch is flanked by two carved figures: a small detail worth looking for among the streets of the Old Town.
Find it at Belostikale 1 and view the exterior from the street. Make it a brief architecture stop while exploring the Old Town’s streets.
