Tigre
Landmark · Deusto
A giant concrete tiger watches the river from the roof of a former industrial building.
Look up at the El Tigre building on Botica Vieja to spot Joaquín Lucarini’s oversized concrete cat, commissioned in 1942. The sculpture gives this former industrial building its familiar name and an easily missed detail to seek out on the Deusto riverbank.
Treat this as an outdoor viewing stop near the river, opposite Euskalduna. The building now contains homes and commercial premises; the rooftop sculpture is not a visitor terrace.
