Biblioteca Foral preserves books, newspapers and other material connected with Bizkaia. Its exhibitions and talks offer a smaller-scale cultural stop in central Bilbao, with the current programme giving the best reason to look inside.
The entrance is at Diputación 7. Bring a passport, national identity document or library card for entry, and check the current visitor information and agenda for exhibition hours and any advance registration. Reading-room access does not include unrestricted access to the historic collections.
The library lists Monday–Friday hours of 08:30–20:30 in winter and 08:30–19:30 in summer, with Saturday opening 09:00–13:30 in both seasons. Exhibition rooms follow their own timetable, so use the current exhibition listing when planning that part of a visit.
