The funicular reaches Mount Artxanda in three minutes. At the top, the viewpoint looks out over Bilbao, with paths for a walk above the city. The lower station is on Plaza del Funicular.
Leave time to explore beyond the viewing area: the operator highlights an original funicular mechanism and La Huella, a memorial sculpture by Juan José Novella. Check the operator’s website for seasonal opening hours, service updates and fares before travelling.
From October to May, services run Monday–Saturday 07:15–22:00 and Sundays and public holidays 08:15–22:00. Summer Fridays, Saturdays and the eve of public holidays run later; check the operator’s timetable for those dates and festival changes.
